Do you think a blog should be advertised? If so, whats the best way to do so while reaching your target audience? I would like to let others see my opinions, and I am sure all of you bloggers out there would like to advice in sharing yours. Does this call for a social strictly blogging site? There are plenty of ways to do this. Crawlers change on what data they want to accept, also using a pre-fab Google blog is not the best start, as you do not have control over the many aspects that will raise your page rank of a blog or site. Link trading helps, find someone with higher page rank and get noticed. The "domination" method can help. Spam your blog link all over forums and anywhere you can, the higher the page rank of said site that has to do with the content in which you write, the more it will boost your rating. Most of these techniques and others can be found by searching google.

The best way is to get a web server and host your blog yourself. This way you get full control and can add page rank plugins which will scan everything you write and put all of the tags in for you. If you post images, be sure you add alternate image tags which can be scanned. Stay away from flash and text inside images. Things that you essentially can't highlight with a mouse, crawlers can't scan for content.

Repeat often what you're writing on. When you make "tags" think of what people search in Google for. Say, Music reviews. Well, have a Music tag, Review tag. Be sure to add Music to each post or any it applies to (should apply to almost all on your site).

You're working on blogspot which is Google's web logging system. Try a shared hosted server which comes at an inexpensive cost where you can install your own word press or one of the other popular blogging things.

Watch color, Google ( I only use Google as an example, yahoo and ask do these things as well ), will scan the color of your site to ensure you're not cheating with text/background colors the same.

These are only a few tips, there are plenty more things to do to keep your page rank high and let it grow.

I thank you for the advice, and hope others can learn from it as well. I am glad there are still people in the internet community willing to lend a hand for us new comers to the blogging world. Thanks again!

Was just giving my 2 cents that was all. I would type more information on this topic, but I too am not expert in this field. Simply put, a few pages of reading a Google search would dominate what I know and could type here. Those are just some basics.
